Xbox Cloud Gaming: Forza Horizon 5 & Football Manager 2022 + New SEGA Next-Gen Game!

Time for your fortnightly Xbox Cloud Gaming News update. This time around we have five games coming including Forza Horizon 5 & Football Manager 22. We also get a first insight into a new project that will see SEGA team up with Microsoft Azure to see in the next generation of their games.

Let’s begin with a day one arrival from ID@Xbox in Unpacking. Unpack like never before in this zen puzzle game where you’ll learn about a character through a variety of moves on November 2nd. Unpacking weaves together a story through the everyday and sentimental belongings you’ll encounter as you decorate and organize each new space throughout the game.

Available via EA Play two days afterwards on November 4th will be It Takes Two. A wild co-op adventure awaits. Discover a metaphorical merging of gameplay and narrative in a light-hearted story of the hardships in getting along. You can even invite a friend with EA Friend’s Pass feature which allows someone to join your game without owning it at all.

Kill it With Fire is a first-person action game about hunting spiders and causing collateral damage and will be available on November 4th. Assemble your arsenal of increasingly excessive weapons, track spiders across suburbia, and burn it all down.

Football Manager 2022 will be available as a day one release for Xbox cloud users on November 9. This tailored version of the game has been designed specifically for consoles, in our case, we’ll have this available without the need for a console. This version isn't as interactive as the PC version but according to the Football Manager 22 website they have implemented a ton of improvements. The icing on the cake with this is the availability of Xbox custom touch controls the minute it releases so you can manage your career wherever you go. Provided the internet access is good enough of course.

I feel like the list of games coming here today just gets bigger and more exciting as we go and the final game announced today is hugely anticipated. Forza Horizon 5. I’m sure, like me, many of you have been glued to any and all gameplay videos you can get your eyes on at present. The good news is we don’t have long to wait now as the 5th instalment of the Forza Horizon series is set to arrive on November 9th. Explore the vibrant and ever-evolving open-world landscapes of Mexico with limitless, fun driving action in hundreds of the world’s greatest cars. Lead breathtaking expeditions across a world of striking contrast and beauty while immersing yourself in a deep campaign with hundreds of challenges that reward you for engaging in the activities you love.

Sneaky Xbox Gives Us More Games!

A quick reminder in case you missed the sneaky extra game drops last week. Backbone, Moonglow Bay and Project Wingman are available right now. Doom Eternal’s 6.66 update which includes the brand new Horde Mode is also available right now.

Five in Five out

For every 5 doors you open, 5 doors close behind you, or something like that. Anyway, we’re losing 5 games on November 15; Planet Coaster, Star Renegades, Streets of Rogue, The Gardens Between and River City Girls. 2 weeks left to get your fill of those titles. Let’s end today’s video with some news that should get us all excited and wondering potentially what this new project may bring our way.

SEGA Teams with Microsoft Azure for Next-Gen Game

SEGA today released a publication detailing a new strategic alliance that allows them to produce large-scale, global games in a next-generation development environment built on Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform. This publication consistently refers to the new trend of accessibility in games. Being able to play across devices at any given time without being tied down. I think it’s safe to presume this partnership won’t yield any major results for quite some time but it’s extremely exciting to read a major company in SEGA has committed to creating a massive high-quality game that can only be constructed with the use of a cloud platform like Microsoft Azure. Now there is no mention at this time of where this game will end up platform wise upon release but Xbox and PC would be my first guess. Thereafter we just have to wait and see. You can read the full publication here.
