Stadia News: PGA 2K21 Free Play, Life is Strange Remastered Collection, Summer Sales & More.

This Week on Stadia blog post has arrived. Free play days return with PGA Tour 2K21, Life is Strange Remastered collection is set to arrive late September, Dead by Daylight and Get Packed have updates, new U.S YouTube TV subscribers can get their hands on a free Chromecast with Google TV device and a ton of games are on sale in the Stadia Store.

Stadia Free Play Days

Starting at 9 AM PT Thursday June 17 and carrying on through until 9 AM PT Monday June 21, Stadia Pro members will be able to play PGA Tour 2K21 for free.

Lay back on the links or carve up the course. The choice is yours as the game caters very well to all players no matter your abilities. There is plenty of training for newcomers and loads of settings to tweak that will challenge the skilled swingers out there. Be prepared for long load times though as this is an issue that has been completely overlooked by 2K.

Life is Strange Collection

Life is Strange Remastered and Life is Strange: Before the Storm Remastered is coming to Stadia, September 30. You can pre order right now or if you are a Stadia Pro member both of these games will be available at release as part of your subscription.

The Life is Strange games are a series of graphic adventures. The ability to rewind time allows you to redo almost any action. Examine and interact with the world and solve puzzles in the form of "fetch quests." Dialogue choices will directly affect the storyline as you play. A short term resolution could turn into a long term problem...

YouTube TV Promotion

Good news for anyone in the U.S wanting to try YouTube TV for the first time, you can pick up a free Chromecast with Google TV device.

Sign up and after your first payment of £64.99 goes through you should receive the brand new device just in time for Stadia's official app launching onto the Chromecast with Google TV.

Terms apply of course, so make sure and read them carefully before signing up.

Stadia Game Updates

Dead by Daylight: Resident Evil Chapter - The brand new chapter includes a new map: The Racoon City Police Station. It also introduces a new killer, Nemesis. Take control of Umbrella's bio-organic weapon and hunt down those survivors. Two new survivors arrive, Leon S. Kennedy and Jill Valentine. You can also play as Chris and Claire Redfield with Legendary sets from The Resident Evil Collection.

Get Packed: Fully Loaded - The new update, coming July 29, will include several new maps, game modes and more. The expansion will be a free add-on for Stadia players who have purchased or claimed as part of their Pro subscription.

The noteworthy news in this update is the fact that the Stadia exclusivity period is now over. The game will be launching onto PC via Steam, PS4 and Xbox One in conjunction with the update.

The Division Heartland Coming to Stadia?

Ubisoft's upcoming free to play title, The Division Heartland, is almost certainly coming to Stadia.

If you head over to Ubisoft's registration page, where you can sign up for a play test, Stadia is now an option. This wasn't an option when the game was first announced as I personally signed up for PC testing but have since switched to Stadia.

The game is currently in development at Ubisoft's Red Storm studio. They say Heartland will be a standalone game that requires no previous Division series gaming but will provide a new perspective on the universe in a new setting. You can read more from Ubisoft here.
