Stadia News: Double Free Play Days, Ys IX: Monstrum Nox & Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Arrive.

Two’s company with this week’s Stadia news. 2 games will be free to play this weekend if you're a stadia pro member, 2 more games are available in the Stadia store now, one of which was a day and date release and finally 2 popular games have updates and new content you can dive right into.

Free Play Days

Free play days are back again, we seem to be getting a fair few recently which is great and this weekend you can play both Dead by Daylight and The Crew 2 for free until Monday, July 12 at 8 AM pacific time. Only if you are a Stadia pro member, however. So here’s a question I would like to pose to you all, should this be opened up to everyone like it is on other platforms or should Stadia keep these free play days locked behind their Pro membership?

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox

Play as any of the six notorious Monstrum, each with their own unique Gifts that grant abilities such as scaling sheer walls or detecting hidden objects to protect the city from shadowy creatures in Ys IX: Monstrum Nox.

Explore the massive city, accept quests to aid the townsfolk, and enter the Grimwald Nox to vanquish the threats to Baldur.

Ys 9 standard edition will cost you £60 while the digital deluxe and digital ultimate editions will come in at £75 and £85.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a gothic horror action side-scrolling RPG set in 18th century England. A paranormal force has summoned a demon-infested castle, revealing crystal shards infused with tremendous magical power.

Play as Miriam, an orphan scarred by an alchemist's curse which slowly crystallizes her body. To save humanity, and herself in the process, Miriam must fight through the castle and defeat the summoner, Gebel.

Collect, craft and unlock a vast array of weapons, equipment and loot to defeat the countless minions and bosses of hell that await!

You may have seen there was an issue with the price on this one when it first dropped but as of now it is priced at £35 and not the original £60. I don’t know how this happened in the first place but if you happened to pay the original price I would be asking for the difference back as the £60 was quite clearly a mistake on someone's part.

Game Updates

Destiny 2 has their Solstice of Heroes event running now until August 3rd and is your chance to pick up rare and exotic loot flying across the European Aerial Zone defeating as many bosses as you like.

This event is free for all destiny 2 players.

Watch Dogs Legion Bloodline is available now. While you’ll play as both Aiden and Wrench over the course of the adventure, they aren’t precisely on friendly terms. When Aiden visits London to steal a robot-controlling device from Broca Tech, Wrench intervenes and makes off with the tech — but not before incapacitating Aiden and leaving him for Broca’s goons.

You can buy this in the stadia store for $15 or play it as part of your Ubisoft + subscription if you have one.
