Stadia Adds Support for All Android & Touch Controls and a £10 gift

Google Stadia dropped a big update on the community today with a big surprise.

There was information leaked around the last Android update earlier this month about it hinting about support for more devices. Today that news became official.

Stadia now officially Supports a lot more OnePlus Devices:

  • OnePlus 5 and 5T

  • OnePlus 6 and 6T

  • OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, 7 Pro 5G, 7T, 7T Pro, 7T Pro 5G

As part of the update, Stadia now offers unsupported devices the option to try Stadia. If you want to give it a try, visit the Stadia app, navigate to the Experiments tab in your Settings menu, and choose “Play on this device.” Google are dubbing it as Experiment and thier way of testing out new features so they can get your feedback.

There will be more opt-in programs in the future as they look to bring even more helpful features.

If you are a pro subscriber, you will now get a $10/£10 discount of your next Stadia purchase in the Stadia Store. This discount applies to all pro members, whether you sign up for pro now or are a long standing pro member.

Touch controls have also been added to the Android app, giving official touch screen controls in the app and nagates the need for TouchStadia via the Chrome browser.

Finally, Stadia has added a resolution selector the Chromecast Ultra, so you can now choose the resolution for your TV.
