July was always going to be a hard act to follow for PlayStation. They added seven games to the PS Now library but only six were streamable. At least this month all the games are actually available to stream even if it is only three.
Let's take a closer look at what August has to offer.
An absolute cracker of a game to kick the month off with. Nier:Automata is arguably one of the best video games ever developed. The story is compelling in every aspect and follows 3 androids 2B, 9S and A2 as they fight to reclaim the machine-driven dystopia invaded by powerful machines.
Tight controls and super smooth combat are easy to learn but offer loads of depth to the most experienced gamers. "Auto Mode" is available for beginners that makes for easy attacks and evades.
Beautiful locations are seamlessly joined together with no area loading. The environment is rendered in 60FPS and offers a plethora of sub-events in addition to the main story.
You will obtain a variety of weapons that you can level up in battle, learn new combat skills and fully customise a loadout to cater to your own playstyle.
*Nier: Automata is only available until Monday, November 1, 2021.*
A hardcore FPP slasher packed with fast action and set within an unrelenting cyberpunk megastructure. Your task is to climb Dharma Tower, humanity's last shelter, from top to bottom and confront the dictatorial Keymaster.
Playing as the most advanced blade fighter ever created, you are always outnumbered but never outclassed. Slice through enemies with a monomolecular katana, dodge bullets in superhuman style and deploy a variety of special techniques in your quest to reach the top of the complex.
This unique single-player experience offers one-hit one-kill mechanics that could have you rely upon the many checkpoints more than you first think.
Undertale is the classic RPG game where you don't have to kill anyone. Of course, that doesn't mean that you can't. After all, you are trapped underground in a world full of monsters.
The unique battle system allows you to negotiate your way out of sticky situations in a nonviolent manner. Or, you can let loose and destroy everyone on your path to freedom.
The original art, soulful character-rich story and humourous nature make for a great gaming experience.
