Many of us have been using Project Xcloud for several months. We knew that the service was expected to be launched by the end of summer but we didn't know much apart from that.... till now.
Microsoft has now confirmed that what from September 15th, what we currently know as Xcloud will be integrated into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate with availability in 22 countries and no need to register as a beta-tester.
It's important to note that the fact that they'll integrate Xcloud into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate doesn't mean that it will be officially launched as a final product. The cloud gaming part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will still have the beta tag. Most people are missing that important bit of the news but we should remember that so we can set up the expectations correctly.
Oh, here you got the list of countries where you will be able to use Xcloud:
Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
And here you got the trailer that Microsoft prepared to share the news. Despite the service still needs to be improved, we can already tell that the guys at Microsoft know how to advertise a product correctly.
